Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:SECTION 1. Section twenty-one of the Administrative Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 21. Officials authorized to administer oaths.鈥擳he following officers have general authority to administer oaths, to wit:
"Notaries public; judges of courts; clerks of Courts of First Instance and the Clerk of the Supreme Court; the Secretary of the Senate; the Secretary of the House of Representatives; registers of deeds; justices of the peace and the auxiliary justices of the peace; the governor of a province; the president of a municipality; the president of a township; any other officer in the Philippine service appointed by the Governor-General, Secretary of War, or President of the United States. A person who by authority of law shall act in the capacity of any of the officers mentioned above shall possess the same powers."
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
